I address this page to Saved Christians. If you need to be saved, believe in the Lord, pray to the Lord telling him you believe he died for your sins and wish to be forgiven. If you meant the prayer, you’re now a Christian. Then find a Bible teaching church and learn of Him and be Baptized.

To the Christian, before you continue this or any Bible study, pray for forgiveness by naming your sins and asking forgiveness. Pray for God to open your eyes.

I have been in a debate with a Christian brother; we are both saved but have doctrinal differences about Baptism. We agree that Water Baptism is an adult decision and is via full immersion. {The Rev. Grady Nutt (Hee Haw 1970s) said once "They called him John the Baptist not John the Sprinkler. So hold'em under till they bubble!"}. We agree that it is an outward sign of the interworks of the Spiritual Baptism promised by Jesus.

Here is where we differ. I believe that Christ led by example and that we should follow his lead and be Baptized. This is obedience to his command. However, I do not think it is a function of salvation. I believe if one accepts Christ as Lord he is saved. If offered the chance to be baptized and he is not ready, he is still saved as he learns of God's ways.

My friend believes that Baptism is a function of the Salvation process and if a person does not follow through with Water Baptism he is still lost till he does.

I have verses to support my position, but I'll save them for now. I would like this blog to put you to work digging in the Word to find your answer. Then post your thoughts. We will explore together.

Finally, if you have not been Baptized;
If I'm right you need to be as an act of obedience.
If my friend is right do it quickly.
